we just had some issues with lost packages and invisible patch policies and while investigating those packages and policies with jamf support, i noticed a package we just deleted last week via Prune, but it was definitely in use via patch policies.
The Package was the only one in the "Definitions" tab of this software title and was active in three enabled patch policies:
Package name in the logs: "RunTrigger-global_protect_6.2.8-948_pm.pkg"
I cant find any real errors in the log.
Only one is "error reading patch software titles - call patchpolicies" <- but i guess, this is pretty normal, caused by the api changes in the last versions, am i right(?)
For more Context, i would prefer to contact via Slack, if you´re okay with it and interested.
But in Short - deleting a Package that is in use in a Patch Policy, can make the Patch Policy invisible in the WebUI, but still active and visible in the API (and maybe throws some errors in the log cause Package not available).
It guess, other affected patch policies could have lead to this wrong package in the Prune list.
After fixing the other affected patch policies, i was not able to reproduce the scan result from last week, with a similar package.
Maybe you already know this behavior, i just wanted to let you know, just in case there are more affected reaching out.
