Access to "Use PMP" feature is a bit too obscure and unintuitive #1221

Description

Describe the problem

I don't like the current ways of using a PMP/Persona. They feel a bit too obscure: /usepmp requires you to know that there's such a command. Proxy tags also feel quite obscure and require you to know a bunch in order to be able to use them. Neither of these options are really accessible to a hypothetical user who's new to this and has never heard of PluralKit & Co.

Describe the solution you'd like

I think a way to provide access to this feature that's accessible and easy to discover would be by adding an item to the Add menu that's labeled "Use Persona". This item can be made to only show up if the Persona feature is enabled.

In terms of vocabulary/user expectations, "using" a Persona isn't exactly the same kind of action as "adding" a poll, location, or file to a message. However, it does "add" an identity, so I think it's still acceptable to house this feature in the Add menu.

Alternatives considered

  • /usepmp (too obscure, unlikely to be naturally discovered)
  • Proxy tags (even more so)
