Have you checked if an issue already exists for this bug?
Have you tried restarting your device?
What happened that you did not expect?
Trigger: Power button → Double press
Device: gpio_keys (KEY_POWER)
Action: Toggle flashlight
Expert Mode enabled (Wireless Debugging paired)
"Do not remap" tested both enabled and disabled.
Expected behaviour:
Double pressing the power button should toggle the flashlight.
A single press should lock the device normally.
The native Power + Volume Down screenshot shortcut should continue to work.
Actual behaviour:
The flashlight works correctly, but the power button behaves inconsistently.
Sometimes a double press also locks the screen before toggling the flashlight.
Sometimes it does not lock the screen.
After using the keymap for a few minutes or after several uses, the native Power + Volume Down screenshot shortcut stops working completely.
On a few occasions, pressing Volume Down alone has even been interpreted as a Power button press, locking the device.
Disabling the keymap immediately restores the native screenshot shortcut.
Re-enabling the keymap causes the issue to return after some time.
Enabling "Do not remap" only delays the problem; it does not solve it.
From my testing, the issue appears to be related to the interception of KEY_POWER in Expert Mode on the Pixel 10 running Android 17.
The issue disappears immediately when the keymap is disabled and reappears when it is enabled again.
