General overview of your idea.
I am proposing to add an official Afrikaans (progit2-af) translation of the Pro Git book. I have already completed the full translation of Chapter 1 (Introduction), ensuring all files strictly match the original Asciidoc format of the progit2 project.
My public repository with the translated first chapter can be reviewed here: https://github.com/progit2-af/progit2-af
In the meantime, I will continue translating the subsequent chapters to maintain momentum.
What problem will this solve?
This translation will make the definitive guide to Git more accessible to Afrikaans-speaking developers and students, expanding the project's global reach.
Operationally, I am opening this issue to get guidance on integration. Because this is a new language addition, I need your advice on the preferred workflow for submitting these files to the main repository. Could you please advise on how you prefer this to be submitted, and if there are specific guidelines I should follow moving forward?
Have you thought about other solutions?
No response
