Are AI-assisted/generated PRs allowed?

Description

I was wondering if submitting a PR with Claude Code was ok, I think some (what to me seem like) minor quality-of-life issues, such as #1196, #4532 #2439, #2571 or #2275, could be solved fairly quickly and with no breaking changes.

Note that the issue is not about making the PRs, but being able to review them, while the team is working actively on q2 (which already includes many improvements in various areas).

GitHub changed how they resolve paths. They no longer seem to resolve as relative. the Code of conduct is located next to contributing under .github which is valid.

Adding .github/ breaks links when viewing the CONTRIBUTING.md itself, so as of current state of GitHub, either file view is broken or tab view is broken.
The only workaround is to move boths files to root or use hardcoded tab URLs, i.e., https://github.com/quarto-dev/quarto-cli?tab=coc-ov-file.

I'll submit them (if they aren't addressed in q2 already) just in case they might save you some time in future then.

In my opinion, you are underestimating the cross-reference system in Quarto and the multi-formats aspects of the issues you've linked. I might be wrong, but these does not seem small fixes.

You're most likely right. If you skim over the PRs and they indeed seem to complicate things more (or even break them) and are not worth the hassle, it's okay. In that case I'm sorry to have wasted your time. I'm just trying to contribute a little to the tool I find to useful. 😊
