   The previous owner of DefendPDX was using a software created by https://www.labnol.org/. The bot was a simple hashtag retweeter with no open source code that I could find.

   We chose Python because of the very navigable Tweepy API provided at https://www.tweepy.org/. We are open to changing this :)
