A Mac can now join a peer's hotspot through CoreWLAN and find hosts with the btleplug central. The Mac never hosts. A join asks for Location Services first, since CoreWLAN hides network names without it, and the directed scan retries for 30 seconds because an iPhone's Personal Hotspot answers it only now and then. The demo's peer panel shows only the actions that apply to the device's state.
connetto-ios-proof --mac-peer --every-joinproves it unattended. The iPhone hosts its Personal Hotspot and a headless client on the Mac joins it by the typed form, the beacon and the pasted payload, each ending with both sides linked. The client runs inside a small signed app started throughopen, so the Location and Bluetooth grants macOS ties to an app persist between runs. The headless leg from #162 moves toconnetto-test-harness::legand serves both systems.Stacked on #162.
macOS could not join a peer’s hotspot or discover nearby hosts through the Bluetooth central. The Apple backend now uses
CoreWLANfor directed scans and association, requests Location Services access when needed, and retries scans for up to 30 seconds. The Mac can join a hotspot but cannot host one.The shared
connetto-test-harness::legsupports Linux and macOS proof runs. Its signed macOS app preserves permission grants between runs and supports unattended join checks against an iPhone Personal Hotspot. The demo shows actions that match the device’s hosting and joined state.
