Calibration output drowns in native info lines #1679

Open

Description

Description

A calibration (OMSimulator --calibrate, OMSimulator.calibration) simulates the model once per evaluation, and every evaluation prints the native info: lines of the simulation:

info: maximum step size for 'model.root': ...
info: No result file will be created
info: Final Statistics for 'model.root':
...

The DC motor calibration (485 evaluations) prints 2586 lines; the calibration's own info: evaluation N: cost ... lines and the final summary are lost between them, also in the OMEdit Calibrate dialog (OpenModelica/OpenModelica#17359). Info messages cannot be silenced from Python today.

Expected

A way to turn the native info messages off (or down) from Python, used by the calibration for its evaluations, so only its own progress lines and summary are printed.
