Closing as superseded. main already resolves the kitchen-sink example to Vite 5.4.21, which is newer than the 5.4.11 proposed here. The root tooling has also moved to the shared Vite 8 catalog.

The kitchen sink remains intentionally on the Vite 5 line because of its Svelte 4 and Web Worker polyfill constraints, now documented in #638.
