Are you living in MacOS? I am a Linux user and have no experience with macOS.
Hey @yibie, do you know how to configure the window focus rules or related settings on macOS?
Hi @harisonkhlil, could this be helpful to you?
Yes, I'm using macOS, and the method you recommend does work, but it's just an overkill, are there other ways?
Another way to focus to WezTerm windows is like this, from here:
(defun ee-git-diff() (interactive) (let* ((working-directory (ee-get-project-dir-or-current-dir)) (full-command (format "cd %s && osascript -e 'tell application \"WezTerm\" to activate' && PAGER=delta git diff HEAD~1" working-directory))) (ee-start-process-shell-command-in-terminal "ee-git-diff" full-command #'ee-git-diff--callback)))Hi everyone, I found solution!!!
now,
brew uninstall weztermAnd go to Wezterm official website download dmg...
To use wezterm binary from a terminal emulator, like wezterm ls-fonts you'll need to add the location to the wezterm binary folder that exists inside the WezTerm.app, to your environment's $PATH value. For example, to add it to your ~/.zshrc file, and assuming your WezTerm.app was installed to /Applications, add:
export PATH="/Applications/WezTerm.app/Contents/MacOS:$PATH"Add this follows to you config.el
(defun switch-to-wezterm () "Switch to WezTerm terminal." (interactive) (do-applescript " tell application \"WezTerm\" activate end tell")) (advice-add 'ee-run :after (lambda (&rest _) (sleep-for 0.1) (switch-to-wezterm)))
Why it didn't work before, it would show two wezterm apps, it turns out that the binary installed by homebrew calls
wezterm-guiinstead ofWezterm. Oh shitReacted by yibie and Eval Exec(sleep-for 0.1)is a no-brainer, any other optimizations?@yibie Greetings. Did you find a way to get ee-xxx working well on macOS yet?
I tried Kitty and Ghostty, and the conclusion is that Ghostty can currently open a window above Emacs when entering the
ee-xxxcommand, and after the operation is completed, it can transfer the data back to Emacs. However, the problem is that the Ghostty window is severely offset in position. I am still trying to find a way to solve this final step.
Each time, I need to manually use Command + Tab to switch windows in order to select wezterm and to choose and input.
