Details
Small, intentionally narrow starting point for #1757. The shared listing helper now caps each request at 1,000 items while keeping the requested total result count unchanged. The added test covers a 2,500-item result being fetched as 1,000, 1,000, and 500 items.
Opening this as a draft so we can confirm the wider scope and any API-specific cases during the meeting before expanding the change.
Ruff, formatting, and mypy pass. The focused pytest test could not start locally because Windows Application Control blocks SciPy's compiled
_sobolextension during test imports; the local virtual environment does not currently have pytest installed.
