The Foundation regularly finds and repairs the boat, even leaving supplies for its unknown crew, who seem to be engaged in an ongoing, desperate struggle against an unseen enemy, as evidenced by increasing kill markings, defensive structures, and a growing obsession with timekeeping found within the vessel over the years.
