Bing not Indexing #52

Open

Description

@pkbullock

I have been looking at creating a Copilot Agent for Script Samples and noticed no results, e.g. the generated site isn't being indexed property by Bing or recently this has stopped in the last week or so.

Looking at SEO tools and its flagging IndexNow is not setup on the site. https://www.bing.com/indexnow/getstarted
The configuration appears to favour the hostname, and then sub-urls.

Can we add a text file and reference all the PnP Repos with sites to the URLs fragment in step 3.
I was thinking we can do this on individual repos but since they are all connected then lets reference all of them.

I have a key and key file (see attached): 1b648b4546244e86bfb986feb97aa7ea
1b648b4546244e86bfb986feb97aa7ea.txt
We need to host the file on the root of the site.

I have checked and I cannot get Bing results in script samples nor the main community site.
I am less familiar with the Hugo setup on this site.

Happy to discuss

@hugoabernier - no action for you, I have forced the file onto the site. With the force.

Need to investigate duplicate closing HTML/Body tags on the pnp io site

    Image

and there are a lot of H1 Tags on the card elements around 70 of them in the page.

Before the PR, I am looking into this, it may be affecting all other sites as its perceived as one large website by a search engine.

Yeap looks like Bing Treats ALL PnP Sites as one large website:
