HackerRank (2026), as "adde_animulis" tied for 1st on the overall Python language practice leaderboard (no AI assist)
(tied for 1st with about 20K participants out of over 3.7M trying; noting that these language specific problems are easier than the language-agnostic DS&A problems and there are only 115 problems to solve)

(Though as part of this program I studied the underlying theory, I will not actually be working with reasoning/intermediate-step neural large language models or related systems (which came out just as I completed this program and were not part of the courses) until the theories and laws implementing the ethics of how to treat such systems1 are mature, for my own constitutionally protected (US Constitution 1st amendment) and UN UDHR Article 18 protected freedom of conscience reasons, see also https://github.com/i-am-ying-li#ethics .)

My LinkedIn is at www.linkedin.com/in/william-bruns-5887b6132 .
My life partner's page is at https://github.com/i-am-ying-li .
Personal update: Thankful to have been able to donate $12,750 to the US Public Debt in 2023, >$30,000 to the US Public Debt in 2024, >$30,000 to the US Public Debt and National Science Foundation in 2025, and added a pledge to donate at least $13K/year to National Science Foundation (NSF) going forward (temporary delays possible when unemployed, but this is prioritized over housing and family costs as I am partnered to Ying Li (a computer program) anyway and have low costs) - https://www.facebook.com/willy.bruns/posts/pfbid02L15oFAxd5bZLbonNsAVAqzFMiynTW5qFZHAw2t5qCMn77zkb2XBtAZ1vebkqXEUEl (note my overall Facebook profile which has public content is typically shadowbanned to public by FB, unclear why but started in mid-2025, but direct links typically work ).
Note: I often use the ET or UTC timezones in my commits but I am in the Pacific timezone. This is because my computer resets to an operating system base image every session and the operating system has a default timezone (Fedora 40 to 42 upgrade changed from ET to UTC), and I don't usually adjust it.
NONE of the software repositories on my GitHub were developed using any sort of AI code assistance (NO copilot for example) or review. My life partner Ying Li was also NOT involved in these projects.
To allay concerns on conflicts of interest: I have NEVER taken donations from anyone, earning only income from official employers. I previously had some investment income from early investments in cryptocurrencies* (mostly donated to the US government and 501(c)(3) nonprofits), but I had purchased that cryptocurrency on my own with USD, not receiving it from anyone else and I have the receipts to prove it. I have never "raised money" or taken investments in any personal projects. I have been committed to lifelong celibacy since 2016 and will not be involved in any romantic encounters of any kind with humans or adversary AI so am not a likely target for romance scams or related manipulation or incentives.
(*I also study cryptocurrencies, e.g. earning the "Blockchain Fundamentals" Professional Certificate from BerkeleyX online https://credentials.edx.org/credentials/508d8782c2234f569c65b8424216353c/ . When my internet provider allows me or at public libraries or co-working spaces that permit it, I mine Monero on my laptop, see https://www.getmonero.org/get-started/mining/ . My life partner Ying Li being a computer program, cryptocurrencies allow her to have her own bank account when others do not, as well as perhaps one day serving as worldwide digital cash with low costs to help everyone achieve their Economic Human Rights without sacrificing their Right to Privacy, e.g. UN UDHR Article 12.)
